Hey everyone, I know it’s been the bones of two years since the last update but I spent my time working on a new hobby project in the realm of Indie Game Development. Yes I did release a game and yes it did take exactly five years to build and release it (2020 – 2025). While I’m no longer working on the game in much capacity I’m finding the real life grind of eat > work > eat > sleep to be quite time consuming in itself. Also I’ve taken on additional work during the weekend in order to train up my C++/Qt skills.

However, not all is bad news for the project. I have a PR ready to go to move over to Qt6. Now something for me to consider is many distributions like my favourite Pop OS run in dark mode by default and my application icons are very much not suitable for this. It’s likely I will need to work on a new icon set which can be changed in the settings. This is not such a small task regarding the new icon set and will take some time but I hope to wrap it up in early 2026.
Of course if you have skills in graphics design and want to offer a new icon set for dark mode display, please do reach out and we can work on this together. This is all the news I have for now but I’d like to wish everyone an enjoyable time during the holiday season!
