At the time of posting PhotoFiltre LX Studio 0.7 “Mystic Wisp” Demo is now ready for public download. The changes in this version are huge and I recommend checking out this release video to see some in action. As usual a visual ChangeLog is presented below:
Magic Wand Tool
You can now select areas of shapes or areas in photographs with the Magic Wand Tool. Also this has settings for Tolerance or to select based on a particular colour.
Clone Stamp Tool
By default you can repaint the whole image in the original photo. Also using the Fixed option you can take a certain area as a stamp to use across the original image. Precise option will do the same just without the radius blur effect. Diffuse option can be used for a slight diffuse effect on a stamp. Pressure and Step can be used together to control the flow/pace of the stamping.
Blur Tool
The buildings in the background of the image have been blurred out using the new Blur Tool. Control the Blur effect with Radius and Pressure options.
Filters
The following Filters have been added:
- Soften
- Blur
- Sharpen
- Reinforce
- Wave
- Solarize
- Implode
New View Menu Options
- Zoom In/Zoom Out
- Fullscreen mode (Restores based on user preference)
- Original Size
- AutoZoom
Cursors
You will notice the cursors for paintbrush type tools will now show you the size of the brush as the cursor.
Bugs Fixed
- Can’t open jpg files in 0.6 release (regression).
- Filters crashing on Linux Mint.
That’s all for now folks, wishing everyone a happy new year and best wishes for 2016! New Release brought to you by the PhotoFiltre LX Team. Support this project by Pre-Ordering a copy of PhotoFiltre LX Studio!
